The Problem – When Apple updated from iOS9 to iOS10 – their operating system stopped supporting UIAutomation framework. This meant that all testing frameworks that were dependent on UIAutomation (like Appium in version 1.5) stopped working.
To meet this challenge the Appium team had to change their iOS implementation to support the new XCUITest framework.
The new changes, available in version 1.6 of Appium, will cause tests that ran perfectly on iOS9 to fail when executed on iOS10 device.
In this webinar hosted by Experitest, we demonstrate how to modify your tests to run on iOS10 with a step-by-step tutorial.
